Walk the line

Here is a fun publication I did. It's a walking tour map and guide of the University Circle area. I was the art director and production manager, coordinating the production and materials, with multiple clients, advertisers and the various other organizations involved in the project. Cover story

Originally designed for collection of poetry and illustrations inspired by ancient myths and legends, this cover and the interior layout and design, ended up being rejected, the client going a different direction. When I started the project I wanted the cover to convey a lazy afternoon walk through history and legends magically side by side in one park, I liked it so much I might still use it for a future project, hopefully with a less cumbersome title.

Produced for the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Association, to comemmerate the Tenth Anniversary of Ohio's historic Towpath Trail, this is one of my favorite examples of publication design. I served as both Production Manager and Art Director, taking the project from start to finish, this twenty-four page piece was put together in two days, meeting a print deadline that couldn't be missed!

Here is a publication I designed for a great multi-faceted construction company, that has over 25 years of experience in residential and light commercial construction in Ohio, Florida, Texas, Mississippi, and Louisiana, Mississippi, and Louisiana, as well as expert witness consulting, and fraud prevention.

Two thirds

Here is a pair of magazine ads that I designed. I thought these were fun and dramatic, and magazine ads always remind me of one of the things I like most about my job, my business is helping other people with their business. 

County flare

Here is another example of publication design. This was a sixteen page magazine I designed for Northern Ohio Live magazine for the Ashtabula County Board of Commissioners and the Growth Partnership for Ashtabula County. Designed to run as a 16 page section of the magazine and to be over-run as a promotional vehicle for the Ashtabula County.
